Beijing now free to use Russian port of Vladivostok for its domestic trade
The transport of goods between northeastern China – which has been deprived of access to the sea since the port was forcibly handed over to the Russian Empire in 1860 – and the rest of the country will be facilitated. This decision paves the way for a stronger collaboration in the development of the Russian Far East.
